Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

The short version: To unlock five free sessions, we ask for your email address and permission to write to you. Your streaks, favorites, saved lines, and settings stay on your own device. If you create a Premium personal affirmation, your topic is sent to OpenAI to write the passage, and that passage is sent to ElevenLabs to generate Eric’s voice audio. The generated session is saved on your device; clearing browser storage removes it. If you subscribe, our payment provider handles your card; we never touch your card details.

Your email address

To unlock the five free sessions, you give us your email address and tick a box agreeing to hear from us. We store three things: the address itself, the moment you gave it, and the exact wording of the consent you agreed to. Canadian anti-spam law requires us to keep that record, and it is the only reason we keep it.

If you choose Continue with Apple or Continue with Google instead of typing your address, Apple or Google confirms your email address to us and we treat it exactly as if you had typed it — same box, same consent, same storage. We ask them for your email address only: not your name, your contacts, or anything else, and we keep no Apple or Google password or access token. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email", we receive a private relay address that forwards to you.

We write to you about Sparxtune: new sessions, occasional notes on the practice. Every email carries a working unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is instant and permanent. We never sell, rent, share, or trade your address. It is not a product, it is a way to reach you.

Want out completely? Write to hello@sparxtune.com and we delete your address entirely — not just unsubscribe it.

What stays on your device

Sparxtune keeps the following in local storage on your device only: your daily streak, saved favorite lines, affirmations you write yourself, reminder times, and volume and playback preferences. This never reaches us or anyone else. Clearing your browser's site data (or deleting the app) erases it permanently.

Cookies and your choices

Essential cookies keep the service working: sxf records free-session access, sxt and sxi support membership access, sxs secures the Apple/Google sign-in round trip, sxo supports owner access, and sxb verifies book-download access. They are not used for advertising.

Our cookie banner lets you accept or reject optional cookies, or choose analytics and marketing separately. Both are off until you opt in. Your versioned choice and its date are stored on this browser in local storage and the sx_privacy_v1 cookie for 180 days. Use Cookie preferences at any time to change or withdraw your choice. Refusing does not prevent listening, subscribing or buying the book. Withdrawing stops the corresponding tools by refreshing the page and removes their accessible first-party cookies; it does not delete data already received by the providers.

Optional analytics

If you accept analytics, Microsoft Clarity measures navigation and interactions through heatmaps and masked session recordings to help us improve the site. Clarity may set _clck and _clsk cookies and process technical information such as device/browser details, page visits and interactions. Page content is explicitly masked, and we do not send your email address, personal affirmation text, payment details or membership identifiers to Clarity. Clarity is not loaded before consent or after refusal. See Microsoft’s privacy statement.

Optional marketing

If you accept marketing, we may use Meta Pixel and Google Ads, once their site identifiers are configured, to measure advertising performance and support remarketing. These tools may process page visits, referral/ad-click information, device information and cookie identifiers, including Meta’s _fbp/_fbc and Google’s _gcl_* cookies. We do not enable advertising tools without marketing consent, and do not send your email address or enable enhanced matching. After a verified purchase, consented marketing measurement can also send the purchase amount, currency and an opaque order reference, without the Stripe session identifier. A local record named sx_conversions_v1 avoids counting the same purchase twice and expires entries after 180 days. Saving marketing consent does not itself activate an unconfigured provider. See Meta’s privacy policy and Google’s advertising information. Provider processing may take place outside Quebec or Canada, including in the United States.

What we measure

We record how Sparxtune is used, so we know what to build and what to fix: which of the four pages is opened, which sessions are played, and roughly how long each one is listened to. Alongside that we keep the country and general device type (e.g. "iPhone" or "Mac") the request came from — never your IP address, name, or exact location. None of this is linked to your email address or to you as an individual — it is counted anonymously, in aggregate, the same way any web server logs what it serves. We use it to see which sessions actually help, which ones nobody finishes, and whether new work is worth doing.

What we do not do

Audio content

On this website, recordings and music are delivered from our server as you play them; in the iOS app they are bundled and play offline entirely — nothing about iOS app playback ever reaches us. On the website, our server checks that you are entitled to a file before sending it, and counts that a session was played and for about how long — see "What we measure" above. That count is anonymous; it is not tied to who asked.

Purchases on this website

Subscriptions bought on sparxtune.com are processed by Stripe, a payment provider certified to the PCI DSS standard. You enter your card details on Stripe's own checkout page, never on ours. We never see, receive, or store your card number.

To process the payment, Stripe collects your email address and billing details and holds them as an independent controller under its own privacy policy, at stripe.com/privacy. We can see, in Stripe's dashboard, that a subscription exists and the email attached to it — this is what lets us honour refunds and answer billing questions. Since you already gave us your address to listen, subscribing adds nothing new to what we hold.

To cancel, email hello@sparxtune.com and we will cancel the renewal.

Custom sessions

Yearly subscribers may request three affirmation sessions written and recorded for them. If you send us a request, we hold what you wrote and the recordings we make from it for as long as needed to deliver them, and we delete both on request. These recordings are made for you alone and are never resold, shared, or reused with anyone else.

Purchases in the iOS app

If you use the Sparxtune iOS app, subscriptions there are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment card details or personal billing information. Management, cancellation, and refunds follow Apple's standard subscription terms, in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Hosting

This site is hosted on Cloudflare, which — like every web host — briefly processes technical connection data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and block attacks. We do not consult these logs to build any profile of you.

Notifications

If you set a daily reminder, the notification is scheduled locally on your device. We operate no notification servers.

Children

Sparxtune is intended for users aged 13 and over, and we do not knowingly collect email addresses or take subscriptions from anyone younger. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has subscribed, write to hello@sparxtune.com and we will cancel it and refund it.

Wellness disclaimer

Sparxtune provides affirmations and sound content intended for relaxation and personal development. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. If you are experiencing serious physical or mental health difficulties, please consult a qualified professional.

Changes to this policy

If our practices ever change, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date revised before any change takes effect.

Your rights

If you are in Quebec, you have rights under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25); if you are in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have rights under the GDPR. In both cases, this includes the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. Since Sparxtune collects almost nothing — see "What stays on your device" and "Cookies and your choices" above — there is little for us to hold beyond what Stripe or Apple process on our behalf. To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@sparxtune.com. We respond within 30 days.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada.
